Thank you for your interest in this regional event. Please keep in mind as you decide when to submit and pay for your entries that most of our events fill up, and many close out prior to the published deadlines! Also be aware that paid entries take priority, sometimes even prior to the published payment deadlines. Entering unpaid acts does not “hold your place” in a show and those acts are subject to being bumped at any time, without warning, by paid acts from another studio. You are strongly encouraged to submit payment-in-full at the time you enter your acts to secure your place.

SCHEDULE IS COMPLETE
The schedule for the 2026 Dallas/Irving regional competition is now complete. It is scheduled for Thursday-Sunday, February 5-8 at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas which is located at 500 W. Las Colinas Blvd. in Irving, Texas.

CHANGES AND CORRECTIONS
Your ability to make any changes or corrections to your acts is now limited. If, however, you discover an issue that requires attention please email us at office@talentonparade.com by the end of the day on Thursday, January 22 to check your options. Please include in your email your studio name, the show location you are attending, and as much detail as possible for the act(s) you are inquiring about (song title, dancer name if soloist, etc.). Changes emailed after January 22 will require management approval and may not be accommodated.

THURSDAY EVENING START
The size of the show makes a Thursday evening start necessary. We have attempted to impact as few people as possible by scheduling only solos until Friday evening. Those unable, or unwilling, to attend due to school obligations may receive a full refund of entry fees for those school-time acts, provided you email the scratch(es) by 5 pm (CST) Thursday, January 22 to office@talentonparade.com. Do not contact the office to inquire about a time change for your act(s). Scratching those acts unable to attend as scheduled is your only option. If it were in any way possible to schedule everyone outside traditional school hours, we would have done that originally.

SCHEDULE FLEXIBILITY
Even though we have provided “to-the-minute” information in your schedule confirmation, you should still use it as a general guideline only. All acts should also be ready, and willing, to perform up to one hour earlier or later than scheduled as it is not unusual for the show to run early or, on rare occasions, a little late.

PERFORMANCE MUSIC UPLOAD AND REVIEW
If you’ve not already uploaded your music, you must do so immediately. Uploading your performance music is required. Log in to your DanceComp Genie dashboard, look for the “Upload Music” button, then attach each music file where indicated. Once your music is uploaded, we strongly recommend that you listen to each file to confirm that you have uploaded what you intended to. Be advised, however, that uploaded files can only be listened to from a PC (not a MAC) that is running the Chrome browser. We cannot be responsible for music uploaded incorrectly and, in fairness, we cannot allow an act to re-compete because of an incorrect music upload. We also strongly recommend that you have with you at the show a flash/thumb drive containing all your music files that we can use as a backup if necessary. Contact us with any questions or issues and we’ll be happy to assist.

TOP ENTERTAINER AND PHOTOGENIC
Entry for these special awards should have been processed during your act entry period and will not be accepted at the door. If you still need to enter for TOP Entertainer or Photogenic you must email us at office@talentonparade.com prior to 5 pm (CST) Thursday, January 22 with entry details. We will then contact you to make payment arrangements.

TOP CHARITY DANCE DOWN IS BACK
Students who donate $5 or more to our sponsored charities at the show will receive a special ticket that will allow them to participate. These students will learn a quick combination on stage and then dance down to a winner. The winner will receive a special plaque and a pair of Bombas Socks. The money collected will be donated to Drea’s Dream, a dance therapy/expressive movement program for children with cancer and special needs (dreasdream.org). Check the general schedule for Charity Dance Down time(s).

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO RECORDING WILL BE PROHIBITED
Photography and video recording will only be allowed during awards presentations. This rule will be strictly enforced and has been established to protect the rights of studio owners, directors, teachers, choreographers, and costume designers. We also want to prevent unauthorized photos from being used elsewhere in a questionable manner.

SAME DAY PRODUCTIONS PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Same Day Productions will be in the house making available professional digital photos and videos for purchase both during the event and after (be aware however, that prices rise once the event has concluded). Learn more about them at samedayproductions.com.

RULES REVIEW
If you’ve not already done so, please take a few minutes to review the complete list of rules and guidelines posted at www.talentonparade.com/rulesanddivisions. Pay particular attention to the RUN OFF POLICY as you help your dancers (and their parents) understand the consequences they face if they choose to leave the stage during the performance.

PROP SET UP AND REMOVAL
The total amount of consolidated (total of on AND off) time allotted for all props is 2 minutes, except for Productions which are allotted 3 consolidated minutes. Score deductions will be assessed if overtime. We are now offering the option to purchase an additional 3 minutes of consolidated prop set-up/removal time (for a total consolidated allotment of 5 minutes, except for Productions which will receive a total consolidated allotment of 6 minutes). This optional prop “insurance” will be charged at $75 per act(s) for those Group acts that you request extended prop time for. Score deductions will not apply to insured Group acts until more than 5 consolidated minutes of prop set-up/removal time (6 consolidated minutes for Productions) has expired, versus 2 consolidated minutes (3 consolidated minutes for Productions) of prop set-up/removal time for non-insured Group acts. Prop insurance is only available to Group acts and must be purchased prior to performance.

CRITIQUES AND SCORES
Video critiques and digital scores will be available for you to view in the week following the show by logging in to your DanceComp Genie account dashboard.

EXTENDED PERFORMANCE TIME

We are now offering the option for up to 2 minutes of extended performance time to Large Groups, Lines and Productions only. Extended time fees are $3 per 30 seconds per dancer in the act(s) the extended time is requested for. Points will be deduced for unpaid overtime acts per the rules and regulations. Extended time acts will also be deducted if extended time purchase is exceeded.

CREDIT/DEBIT CARD FEES

A 3% fee will be automatically added to all credit/debit card transactions. Avoid this fee by submitting a certified check instead (cashier’s check or money order) to Talent On Parade, 137 Pirner #5, Haysville, KS 67060. Be sure to obtain tracking information in case delivery is delayed. Studio or personal checks NOT accepted. Email us at office@talentonparade.com for assistance.
